Apple has just released an update for its iPhone software – version 2.2.
iPhone users can update via the [UPDATE] button in iTunes.

Apple releases iTunes 8.0.2 before iPhone firmware update

Early Friday, Apple released an update to its iTunes software. Version 8.0.2 addresses some quality issues when making MP3 files and a fix for the iTunes store when using the software with proxie servers.
The update can be obtained via software update. A reboot of the computer is required after updating.
